View Full Version : Trimedia Driver Error

I just installed lyric offline on a laptop. When I start the program I get an error that says "Trimedia Device Driver not installed" It's looking for a file called tmman.sys. This file exists on my system but I don't know how to install it. The error says to look at the Troubleshooting Guide but I looked all through the help file and the documentation that came with the Lyric CD and can't find anything. Anybody else have this problem?

Got the same problem; looked everywhere but I can't find any reference to it.

With Lyric offline, in 5.2 (forget which build) there is a bug where it is looking for chyron hardware when it's not present. You need to delete these 2 files from C:\Program Files\Chyron\Lyric 5.2\
DpcCODID.dll
DpcCODIDCAL.dll

Then you will not get that error anymore.

P.S. I'll add this to the knowledgebase in case anyone else has this trouble.
