Here is how to get the Character output for the second Output on an XT3 when running as Channel Max (Like a 10 Input 2 output for example)


Make one of the Multiviewers a 1 Box


Exit Multicam to shell

cd /mnt/APPS/data/user/

nano options.json


-- Look for "--legacy_osd" option that you can toggle to disable the new style OSD.

Change "False" to say "True"

Control + x and 'Y' to save



type reboot and let everything reboot.


Multiviewer output set to : 1080i

If you want it to look exactly like the other character output you can run it through a FS or ROI scaler -- here are the settings for an AJA FS-2 as an example --

Custom Size/Pos: ON

Custom Size: 200.0%
Custom H Pos: -49.8
Custom V Pos: 49.7


Region of Interest: ON FULL

ROI Left: 99.5
ROI Right: 99.8
ROI Top: 99.2
ROI Bottom: 99.8
