Start with an empty file.
  • Click the File menu and select New.

Find a Tally System Interface (TSI)

A new tally system must use one or more Tally System Interface (TSI) units such as the TSI-1000 or TSI-3000.
  • Click the Management menu and select Configuration.
  • Click the TSI Discovery tab.
  • Click the Discover TSIs on Network button.
Examine the list of Discovered TSIs. Any TSIs connected to the network appear in the list with their current IP address and ID number (usually ID number 2).

Specify TSI Settings

If desired, change the IP address or ID number of the TSI.
  • Click the item in the list that matched the current settings of the TSI to be changed.
  • Click the Modify ID or Modify IP button.
  • Specify the new ID number or IP address and click OK.

Manually Specify TSI Settings

If the TSI to be used with the tally system does not appear in the list because it is powered off or not connected to the network, you can still add a TSI to the tally system.
  • Click the +Add Undiscovered TSI to Session button.
  • Specify the ID number and IP address and click OK.

Add the Discovered or Manually Specified TSI to the Tally System

  • Select the desired TSI from the list of Discovered or Undiscovered TSIs.
  • Click the Add to Session button.
  • For a multiple TSI tally system, select and add additional TSIs in the same way.
  • Click OK to close the Configuration dialog box.

Name the TSI

You can change the default name for the added TSI.
  • In the same row as the Interface # (ID) and IP address of the TSI to be named, click the box under the column labeled TSI Name.
  • Enter a name for the TSI unit.
In tally systems where there are more than one TSI, name additional TSIs in the same way. The name should indicate something unique about each TSI such as a studio or rack location. When adding ports to connect other equipment to the tally system, select a TSI by its name to identify on which unit the port is located.

Select the Active TSI

Although all TSIs in a tally system operate together, one of the TSIs must be designated to connect directly with the Tally System Console 2 program.
  • In the same row as the Interface # (ID) and IP address of the TSI to be active, click the box under the column labeled Active to make a check mark appear there.
For a multiple TSI tally system, all TSIs that operate together as one system must have a unique interface number (ID), except those TSIs that are designated and connected as a main/backup pair. TSI pairs must have the same interface number (ID).
