Add a Tally Area

A tally area is added automatically for each production switcher connected to the tally system. These are useful when assigning a tally area to a tally display (UMD). Where there is more than one production switcher, use of common sources such as cameras may require another tally area that combines tally conditions from all switchers. This tally area can be assigned to tally outputs (GPOs).
  • In the last row of the table, click the box under the column labeled Tally Area Name.
  • In the box, type ALL.

Add a Tally Type to the Tally Area

  • In the table, click the box under the column labeled Tally Type.
  • In the box, type PGM.

  • In the pop-up menu click Insert Column.
  • In the pop-up dialog box, click the up arrow in the box labeled Number of columns to insert repeatedly until it reads one less than the number of production switchers connected to the tally system. For example, in a three switcher system, select two.
  • Click OK.
  • Click the box under the column labeled Destinations (1).
  • Click the drop-down menu arrow in the box and select the destination to corresponds to the on-air output of the first production switcher.
  • If the are at least two switchers in the tally system, click the box under the column labeled Destinations (2).
  • Click the drop-down menu arrow in the box and select the destination to corresponds to the on-air output of the second production switcher.
