Lyric 8.5/Lyric PRO 8.5, the NVIDIA® driver, the eFX2 Plugin and all other necessary components, except for QuickTime®, Clone Edit Canvas Video Preview and Touch GraphX will already have been installed on any new system from Chyron. If the system is brand new, then it will not be necessary to perform any installation procedures on the system, except for the above-mentioned components, and only if using them.
If installation or reinstallation of any component is required, then all software components and documentation, except where noted, are available from the Installers and Resources page on the Lyric 8.5/Lyric PRO 8.5 installation disk. Additional components and documentation, e.g., the GPI plugin, are also included on the disk.
To install programs, view documentation, access tutorials or other information use the menu on the left to select an item. You can return to this page at any point by clicking the Home link at the upper left.
The Lyric 8.5/Lyric PRO 8.5 Software Installation Guide contains instructions for installing Lyric/Lyric PRO and its required components. Please review this document before performing any installation. Please also read the Lyric 8.5/Lyric PRO 8.5 Release Notes for information about new features and bug fixes and Best Practices for Designing Lyric Graphics.
Also please note the following:
Installation scripts may first prompt to download and Open/Run or Save to disk. This is a normal function of browser security.
To run installation directly without saving, select Open/Run. To save the installation file for later installation, select Save, and then save the file to a directory on the system. When ready to install, locate the installation file, and then double-click the file name to start installation.
Lyric features context-sensitive help, accessible by clicking on a Lyric interface item, and then either pressing the F1 key or clicking the Context-Sensitive Help icon located in the Windows® toolbar.
 Also included on the installation disk is a trial version of RGB Tools, an easy-to-use plugin for enhancing graphics on the Lyric canvas. Featuring a wide range of effects and adjustment tools, RGB Tools can crop, matte and add offset and border images to graphic elements on the Lyric canvas. When viewing this disk, some versions of Internet Explorer® may insert a line break before a hyperlink. If this occurs, then in Internet Explorer, go to Tools > Compatibility View Settings. Enable (check) Display all websites in Compatibility View. The disk will now display properly.
