By default, your Alto/Quad/Quad-Dual system  supports a wide range of output resolution formats. This folder includes two sets of files: 

• The "Factory" folder contains the files that provide support for the resolutions that were installed by default on your system.

• The "Custom" folder provides support for other resolution formats, typically found on specific monitor models. To update your Kaleido-Alto/Quad/Quad-Dual system with support for one or more new output resolutions, proceed as follows:

 
**** CompactFlash procedure ****

1- Make sure the output of the Kaleido-Alto/Quad/Quad-Dual is set to a different resolution than the one you wish to install.

2- Connect a CompactFlash (CF) reader to a PC. The PC will detect the reader as a new drive (for example: E:).

3- Remove the CF card from the Alto/Quad/Quad-Dual and insert it into the reader.

4- In the "Custom" folder, browse to the ZIP file corresponding to the monitor model you wish to use, and extract the content to the "\Formats" folder of the CF card. Repeat this step for each monitor model you wish to use.

5- Remove the CF card from the reader and insert it back into the Kaleido-Alto/Quad/Quad-Dual unit.

6- You can now set the appropriate resolution for the monitor on your Kaleido-Alto/Quad/Quad-Dual system.


**** FTP procedure ****

1- Make sure the output of the Kaleido-Alto/Quad/Quad-Dual is set to a different resolution than the one you wish to install.

2- Open an FTP session with the Kaleido-Alto/Quad/Quad-Dual system, using the unit's IP address, and the username "su". No password is required.

For instance, to connect to IP address 10.0.1.10, you could type "ftp://su@10.0.1.10" in the address bar of a Windows Explorer window.

3- In the "Custom" folder, browse to the ZIP file corresponding to the monitor model you wish to use, and extract the content to the "\Formats" folder of the CF card. Repeat this step for each monitor model you wish to use.

4- Close the FTP session, and reboot the Kaleido-Alto/Quad/Quad-Dual sytem.

5- You can now set the appropriate resolution for the monitor on your Kaleido-Alto/Quad/Quad-Dual system.
