Kaleido-Alto/Quad/Quad-Dual Software Backup

WARNING: Before using this procedure, please, call Miranda Technical support.

You can use Alto_Release_x_xx_Buildxxxx.exe (or Quad_Release_x_xx_Buildxxxx.exe, depending on your system) to reinstall the original software that came by default with the system.

This file is a self-extracting archive made by Winzip 8.1 SR-1 (5256).
It contains all the files and folders that must be present in the CompactFlash (CF) card for your system to work.

To transfer the files to the CF card, proceed as follows:

1- Connect a CF reader to a PC. For instance, if the reader has a USB connector, connect it to one of your PC's USB ports. The PC will detect the reader as a new drive (for example: E:).

2- Remove the CF card from the Alto/Quad/Quad-Dual and insert it in the reader.

3-Format the CF card using the standard FAT file system.
         WARNING: DO NOT USE FAT32.

4-Open Alto_Releasex_xx_Buildxxxx.exe (or Quad_Release_x_xx_Buildxxxx.exe).

5- In WinZip Self-Extractor, click Browse, and locate the CompactFlash reader.

6- Click Unzip to transfer all the files to the CF card.

7- In a Windows Explorer window, right-click the Compact Flash drive and click Eject on the shortcut menu, to be able to remove the CF card from the drive.
