Compatibility

This firmware is compatible with version 2.x.x of the ADAM MCII-e
controller firmware with support for autonomous frame operation.

Boot Downloader
_______________

The firmware consists of two parts: a boot loader and the actual client code.
The boot loader is normally not touched when upgrading firmware, so it allows
for recovery if a download fails (e.g. if there is a power failure while
reprogramming the flash).

The "tribus.flash" image contains both the boot loader and the client image.
The "tribus.hex" image (which can be downloaded via AZedit) does not
include the client image.

  MCII-e version 2.8.0 adds support for ring-mode wiring. Ring-mode wiring
  supports systems with more than 256 timeslots in a given frame; it reduces
  the number of Tri-Bus cards required for systems with larger numbers of
  frames; and it simplifies the wiring scheme.

  In a system configured for ring mode, all Tri-Bus cards must be running
  firmware version 1.1.0 or later. When configured for mesh mode, Tri-Bus
  cards running v1.1.0 can be intermixed with cards running v1.0.1 and
  v1.0.0

  In previous versions, the audio links between frames could occasionally be
  torn down and rebuilt. Fixed.

* Fixed front panel LED display (page 3 - active tasks)

  The third display page for the front panel LEDs was supposed to display

  work. Fixed.
