Sony DVS 7000 Quick Set Up Guide 1) Make a list of all your primary inputs. 2) Route your Primary inputs. (depends on what truck your in, Primary inputs are either hard patched by the engineer, or you route them through your router system). 3) Name your Primary inputs. 1) Main Set up menu 2) #5 = Operation menu 3) F3 = Xpoint routing 4) F10=name source 5) F2 = Source select ; select input to be named 6) F8 = Name select ; select pre set names or go all the way down to User to set your own names. 7) F6 Select ; A key pad with letters & numbers appears, use arrow buttons and F keys to select and spell out name. (Note: If you select a pre set name a keypad with numbers only appears. You can only add numbers to these names. To set your own names go to the User select). 8) F9 Enter. Repeat for all Primary Inputs... 4) Assign Primary inputs to Cross points. 1) Main Set up menu 2) #5 = Operation menu 3) F3 = Xpoint assign 4) F1 = Button No. With F1 button held down: on the Aux Bus choose cross point to be routed. 5) F8 = Source Select: choose Primary input that goes to cross point. (Note: After the list of Primary inputs there are inputs internal to the switcher, you will need to assign some of these to cross points. Such as the Frame Memory outputs or Black. Also ME Previews, Clean feed, and Pre Set are important to bring into switcher). 6) F6 = Select ; puts Primary input into cross point. Repeat for all cross points you need to route... 5)Auto Select Key set up. 1) Main Set up menu 2) #5 = Operation menu 3) F4 = Auto select 4) F3 = Fill: With F3 button held down; on your Aux Bus choose the cross point where you assigned Chyron video. 5) F6 = Source: With F6 button held down; on your Aux Bus choose the cross point where you assigned the Chyron Key signal. (You have now told the switcher what two cross points to put together to perform a chyron key). Repeat for all sources that have a Fill and Key signal associated with them... 6)DME Interface Set up. 1) Main Set up menu 2) #4 = Periph menu 3) F5 = DME IF 4) F1 = DME Select: Press to select DME 1 V 5) F3 = Button number: With F3 button held down; on your Aux Bus choose the cross point button that you routed DME 1 video to. Cross point number appears in the Re-Entry column. 6) F8 = Bus Select: Press to select the Aux that you are routing DME 1 video with. ( In most systems this will be Aux 1 ) 7) F6 = Select: Selects Aux number 8) F1 = DME Select: Press to select DME 1 Key 9) F3 = Button number: With F3 button held down; on your Aux Bus choose the cross point button that you routed DME 1 Key to. Cross point number appears in the Re-Entry column. 10) F8 = Bus Select: Press to select the Aux that you are routing DME 1 Key with. ( In most systems this will be Aux 2 ). Repeat these steps for DME Channel 2 Video and Key... 7) Back up your set up. 1) Main Set up menu 2) #1 = System menu 3) F5 = Back up menu 4) F1 = Set up: Chooses what your backing up 5) F10 = Execute 6) F9 = Yes. Menu will display Set up back up OK. Set up you just created is now backed up into a non - volatile memory.
