Setting the IP Address

- For Winodws Vista

1. Click the "Start" button.



2. Click the "Connect To".



3. Click the "Open Nextwork and Sharing Center".



4. Click "Manage network Connections".



5. Click the Right mouse button on "Local Area Connection".
And click Properties.



6. Select "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IP v4)," and click the Properties button.
The Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties dialog box appears.


For Windows XP

  1. Click the Start button, then select Control Panel.

  2. In the case of the category view, click Network and Internet Connections.
    In the case of the classic view, skip to step 3.

  3. Click "Network Connections" (for the category view), or double-click (for the classic view).

    The Network Connections dialog box appears.

  4. Double-click "Local Area Connection."

    The Local Area Connection Status dialog box appears.

  5. Click the Properties button.

    The Local Area Connection Properties dialog box appears.

  6. Select "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)," and click the Properties button.

    The Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties dialog box appears.



  7. Select "Use the following IP address."

  8. Enter the IP address and subnet mask in the corresponding boxes, and click the OK button.

  9. Keep clicking the OK button, to close all of the opened dialog boxes.

  10. Click the Start button, then select Turn Off Computer, Restart, to restart the computer.


For Windows 2000

  1. Click the Start button, then select Settings, Control Panel.

  2. Double-click "Network and Dial-up Connections."

    The Network and Dial-up Connections dialog box appears.

  3. Double-click "Local Area Connection."

    The Local Area Connection Status dialog box appears.

  4. Click the Properties button.

    The Local Area Connection Properties dialog box appears.

  5. Select "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)," and click the Properties button.

    The Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties dialog box appears.



  6. Select "Use the following IP address."

  7. Enter the IP address and subnet mask in the corresponding boxes, and click the OK button.

  8. Keep clicking the OK button, to close all of the opened dialog boxes.

  9. Click the Start button, then select Shut Down.

  10. From the drop-down list, select "Restart," and click the OK button to restart the computer.
