+ NEVER PLACE ICD2 on the Toroidal Transformer in the HDX box. +
+ This WILL DESTROY the ICD programmer.                        +

check version at powerup 
(watch "load type" led Display.This display should read with 
the version you have upgraded to for a few seconds after the power is turned on.)

Connect MPLAB ICD2 to USB port of computer.

connect adapter cable from RJ-12 on ICD2 to Programming slot inside HDX box.

Power up HDX Box

In "Programmer" Menu, Set Programmer submenu, select MPLAB ICD2 
Under Configure menu, select "Select Device".
Set Device to PIC16F877A.

In the file menu select Import
Select the ".hex" file you wish to upload to the HDX.

In the Programmer Menu, Select Program.

When complete, select verify from the Programmer menu.

Output should read:
"Verifying configuration memory..

...Verify Succeeded

MPLAB ICD 2 Ready
"

Power down HDX box. Disconnect from ICD2.  Power up HDX Box while watching "load type" led Display.

This display should read with the version you have upgraded to for a few seconds after the power is turned on.

(i.e. "RV10")
